Our hybrid Massage Therapy Online Instructor position is an Online Adjunct/Part-time position that provides a high level of content lecture, outreach and connection with students. Work collaboratively with faculty, administrators, and staff. on a frequent basis to ensure student success.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an online classroom atmosphere conducive to learning for all students.
• Engage with students, offering an increased presence in the online classroom.
• Provide substantial student feedback and offer a quick turnaround on grades.
• This role will serve as a demonstrated subject matter expert in job-relevant content or practice area.
• Provides feedback on online course material and objective assessment/revision, course assessment/revision and curriculum assessment/revision to the Lead Online Instructor.
• Advise and assist students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by videoconference or email.
• Facilitate student mastery of core learning objectives using the developed curriculum, scholarly tools and technology available.
• Record attendance and grades for assignments, quizzes and exams.
• Mentor and monitor students academic performance to meet module and course objectives.
• The ability to use teaching methods that engage students actively in their own learning, promote development of critical thinking skills, and encourage them to become lifelong learners.
• The ability to use instructional methods that emphasize group cooperation and collaboration and that reflect cultural sensitivity and interdisciplinary approaches to subject matter.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to remain current in massage therapy, spa, wellness and alternative wellness therapy, instructional techniques.
• Prepare students for In Person Labs

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in massage industry.
• Minimum 1 year of online, college level teaching experience is preferred.
• Must be able to meet deadlines.
• Capacity for self-motivation and working independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Aptitude for learning innovative technology.
• Must comply with training and onboarding requirements.
• Must have reliable internet connectivity, and ability to facilitate online instruction and communications remotely.
• Experience with Office 365 and Learning Management Systems (Canvas experience preferred).
• Committed to excellence in teaching and student success.
• Capable of offering online instruction regarding topics and skills within their areas of expertise.
• 5-week Course/Courses will be contracted one at a time OR multiple courses over a period of time.
